Namibia in November to February: separating coast and interior
Assess Swakopmund and Walvis Bay seasonally without extending fresh ocean air to a whole circuit.

WHY NOW
Why this season?
Southern summer highlights regional differences. A cool coastal area does not make every extra Namibia stage comfortable.
A country name is not a climate description
The cold Benguela Current shapes Namibian shores. The interior has a different setting and can become much warmer in southern summer. Choosing Swakopmund and Walvis Bay for fresh ocean air does not justify applying that reasoning to any additional itinerary stage.
Write down the actual area: a town base, a lagoon day and one nearby outing. A broader circuit requires its own climate and transport plan. Windhoek, Etosha and Sossusvlei are outside this coastal destination even if a travel package lists them together.
Coastal conditions still vary
The coast has no fixed temperature ceiling. Fog, wind and warm episodes can affect daily life. Select clothing and outdoor time for current conditions. A Rooikop model value describes neither every shore section nor the sensation of humid ocean air.
This is a town and landscape trip. Cold water and changing surf are not a reliable basis for warm swimming holidays. Beach images therefore do not promise daily swims. A museum or waterfront visit can independently support a day.
Read bookings geographically
Check included places, actual nights and travel distances rather than only the country label. A mainly inland package does not fit the coastal approach simply because it briefly stops in Swakopmund. Compare the itinerary with your temperature preferences and spare days.
November to February is described as southern summer rather than a blanket recommendation. If the coast is the priority, give it nights of its own. Regional coolcation reasoning remains clear without drawing conclusions about a whole country from one comfortable place.
